The WA Feral Cat Symposium 31 May

  • May 14, 2018

“The Australian feral cat population fluctuates between 1.4 to 5.6 million, and cats kill more than 1 million birds, more than 1 million reptiles, and more than 1 million mammals in Australia every day.”
Professor John Woinarski, Charles Darwin University

The Feral Cat Symposium in Mandurah on the 31st May at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre is hosted by The Western Australian Biodiversity Science Institute and the Peel Harvey Catchment Council.

The aim of the event is to share knowledge, frameworks, legislative context, biodiversity impacts and control options for the management of feral cats in the state.

Register now and hear from some of the nation’s leading researchers, conservation groups, and government on the innovative future of feral cat control and local successes in tackling a major cause of decline for many of Australia’s endangered species.

If you are interested in learning more about the impact of feral cats or are involved with feral cat management in WA, then this event is for you.

There will also be a series of Q&A panel sessions where you can raise issues that are relevant to you.
